You know you’re unlucky when you have your best players on the sidelines, it’s your time to shine and you’re injured again. It can be related to one of the brightest talents in the team in the form of Jese Rodriguez. Shows how unlucky he has been so far in his early career.😐
The winger was one of the best players on the pitch last night in Madrid’s frustrating 0-0 draw against Malaga at home. But sadly fell into the injury trap as he fell down after taking a shot and ended up catching his leg in pain. He was then stretchered off, joining the likes of Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez, Sergio Ramos, Danilo and Pepe on the sidelines. He will be assessed further on how serious it is. Fingers crossed hoping it’s nothing serious.
The Canarian native was slowly getting his touch back after a long 8 month injury layoff back in March 2014. He returned back to action in late November but sadly was a shadow of his former self after returning to injury. Got his minutes limited and being pushed into the main games was no easy task and above all, had an ACL problem where it’s too tough to get back. Best example in the current scenes is Radamel Falcao. He is nowhere near his past best right now.
He then slowly tried to get his touch back by using the preseason as his game time. Had done enough to get into coach Rafael Benitez’s plans and we did get to see, if not fully, then sort of the old Jese. Too quick, the old pacy wingman, his creative instincts and his eye for goal. Jese has done the best he could do. And getting a good outing against Malaga would have been an icing on the cake for him. Would have boosted his morale and got more first team opportunities.
Unfortunately for him, now has got injured and will continue to watch from the sidelines. Meanwhile, other talents like Lucas Vazquez and Denis Cheryshev will be getting the nod ahead. It was his golden chance to shine and gets unluckily injured again.
Let’s hope this injury isn’t serious by any means. Wishing you a full recovery Jese. Animo.❤
