Sunrisers Hyderabad have announced it’s new captain for the upcoming Pepsi IPL season of 2015 in the form of David Warner. He takes over from Darren Sammy, who was earlier released by the team and was sold to Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2015 IPL Auction.
Warner, who openly spoke about his admiration on becoming a captain for his country Australia, would like to gain some valuable experience from this task. He has captained a side only in Cricket, being for his Big Bash side Sydney Thunder, getting a century in the very same game..
“Whether I end up getting a leadership role or not I feel I’m going to be a leader anyway.
“(Sometimes) you need a lesson and you need to have a bit of a stuff up along the way to give you a kick in the backside. But I’ve always felt I’ve got a lot to offer to the guys.” Warner was quoted by the News Limited back in November
